Creek Harbour — the future district

Dubai Creek Harbour is Emaar's 6 km² development on the eastern bank of the Dubai Creek — positioned as the city's next major district after Downtown and Marina. Its centrepiece, the Dubai Creek Tower, is designed to surpass the Burj Khalifa as the world's tallest structure when complete. Construction is underway as of 2026.

Right now Creek Harbour is a partially built neighbourhood — part construction site, part finished waterfront. The Creek Promenade is pleasant, the restaurants are genuinely good, and the views across to the old creek are some of the best in the city. The Creek Beach is a small but well-designed urban beach.

The big reason to visit now: the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary sits at the southern end of the Creek — a free flamingo reserve with viewing hides open to the public. Up to 3,000 greater flamingos winter here from October to March. It's one of the most surprising and beautiful things in Dubai, and almost no tourists bother to find it.

Watch the world's next tallest structure rising from the Creek. Remarkable scale even in construction phase.

Creek Promenade
Peaceful waterfront walk with views across to old Dubai. Best at dusk. Far less crowded than Downtown boardwalks.

Creek Beach
Small urban beach — calm, well-maintained, far less busy than JBR. Good for a quiet morning swim.

Ras Al Khor directions: Take a taxi to "Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, Dubai" — the driver will know it. Flamingo Hide 1 gives the closest views. Bring binoculars if you have them. Free entry. Best visited early morning for light and bird activity.
