One&Only The Palm — what it actually is
One&Only The Palm occupies the western crescent tip of Palm Jumeirah, directly opposite Atlantis The Royal. Where Atlantis operates at maximum spectacle — sky bridges, celebrity DJ nights, 90 pools — One&Only is its compositional opposite: 90 rooms and suites, Mediterranean-influenced low-rise architecture, a private beach that feels genuinely secluded, and a guest policy that firmly keeps children at a distance (the resort is 16+ throughout).
This is the Palm Jumeirah option for people who want genuine quiet luxury rather than resort theatre. The hotel opened in 2012 and has consistently ranked among the top five hotels in Dubai by service quality. The Drift Beach Club (open to non-guests) is considered the best beach club setting on the Palm. The two restaurants — ZEST and Stay by Yannick Alléno — are both excellent.
The architecture draws from Mediterranean coastal villages — white rendered walls, terracotta tones, bougainvillea, low-level buildings connected by garden paths. It feels nothing like the towers of the Marina or the scale of Atlantis. It feels like a very good small resort that happens to be in Dubai.

§ 05 — Drift Beach (non-guests)
Visiting without a room
The Drift Beach Club is One&Only's beach club, open to non-hotel guests on a minimum spend basis. It is consistently rated the most beautiful beach club on the Palm — the design is immaculate, the service is genuine One&Only quality, and the food (from the adjacent ZEST restaurant's beach menu) is excellent.
Access: minimum F&B spend of 350 AED per person, redeemable against food and drinks. Includes access to the beach, sun loungers and facilities. Reservations recommended (book via the hotel website). Dress code: smart casual on arrival, swimwear at the beach. Children under 16 are not permitted.
This is one of the best day-visitor options on the Palm — a premium beach experience without the full hotel rate. Better than most beach clubs on the crescent because One&Only genuinely maintains its standards even for day visitors.
