TATS Editorial Team

Led by TATS Man. Powered by humans. Assisted by AI. Built for travellers.

TATS is human-led and AI-assisted. The TATS Editorial Team researches destinations, checks information, develops stories, improves guides and helps keep Totally Dubai useful, readable and current.

At the centre is TATS Man, who helps set the voice, direction and publishing standards. Around that voice sits a broader editorial process combining human judgement, destination research, modern publishing systems and AI tools.

And yes, we use AI. Quite a lot, actually.
But AI does not get the final editorial say. People remain responsible for what Totally Dubai publishes.

Human-led. AI-assisted.

AI can help organise research, compare large amounts of information, flag contradictions, maintain content consistency and surface pages that may need attention. That matters on a destination like Dubai, where visas, airlines, metro projects, attractions, events, hotel openings and government rules can move quickly.

What AI should not do is invent experience, manufacture certainty or decide what we believe. Human editors remain responsible for the final judgement, wording and publication decision.

How we research Dubai

Depending on the subject, research can include UAE and Dubai government agencies, immigration authorities, transport bodies, airlines and airports, attraction operators, official event organisers, primary documents and credible local reporting. Stronger claims deserve stronger sources.

For practical decisions involving visas, laws, health, safety, transport disruptions or other high-impact information, travellers should still check the relevant official source before acting.

Useful first, personality second

Totally Dubai is not meant to sound like a tourism brochure or an anonymous content mill. We want clear judgement: what is worth booking, what is overhyped, what requires planning, what is changing and what a visitor is likely to wish they had known earlier.

Personality is welcome. Padding, fake expertise and generic filler are not.

Local knowledge matters

Dubai is international, fast-moving and easy to caricature. Good coverage needs context from people who understand the city, the UAE and the practical reality behind the skyline. As TATS grows, local contributors, photographers, researchers and specialist voices are an important part of the model.

The TATS editorial promise

Real humans lead the editorial process. AI helps them do a better job.

We use modern technology openly. We also research, question, edit, verify, revisit old advice and change our minds when the evidence changes.

That is the job.
